Kathryn Bernardo Shares Her Childhood Story


We see her name on newsprints and magazines, posters, and promo fliers. She is everywhere on TV, from series, films, shampoo and coffee advertisements. Who would KathNiel be without this beautiful star? Many people bash and judge her and her followers but nevertheless, she was still admired by a lot of people despite her apparent “flaws” and controversies. No wonder DJ, or Daniel Padilla is truly, deeply in love with this celebrity beauty, Kathryn Bernardo. Starting out in showbiz as a child actress, this beauty emerged into a certainly talented, multi-awarded actress. But who is really Kathryn Bernardo? Who was this girl before all the limelight?

On a recent guesting on Magandang Buhay, hosted by Melai Cantiveros, Jolina Magdangal, and Karla Estrada (Daniel Padilla’s mom), Kathryn shares a slice of her personal life during her childhood days. According to Kath, she said that at home, she was not treated like royalty or like a true “artista”. She was more like a simple girl at home, like a normal young adult at the place of her family. Being the youngest among children of four, she also experiences and is expected to do household chores as well at home. She also added to that that the age gap of her siblings compared to her was large. But nevertheless, the family stuck together close as ever. She also said that she was enrolled at school when she was young as a “saling-pusa” at a daycare center just because she was just too young be at school yet.

She spent all her childhood at their province in Nueva Ecija and then later moved into Manila when her siblings are about to enter high school, and that she wanted to enter showbiz and be a star. She admitted back then that her childhood dream to be a star was inspired by stars like Angel Aquino, Judy Anne Santos, and Piolo Pascual, and a young girl’s dream is a na├»ve that she thought that being a celebrity is just as easy as 1-2-3 and as simple as her childhood playtime.
