Nora Aunor Rejected Offer From It's Showtime Because of Vice Ganda

News broke about Nora Aunor’s refusal to accept “It’s Showtime” invitation to judge the finale of “Tawag Ng Tanghalan” on March 11, Saturday because of Vice Ganda particularly his way of doing his comedy stint.

According to the award-winning actress, she finds Vice Ganda’s comedic act offensive. She told on a text message that she couldn’t take Vice Ganda’s way of making people laugh by subjecting them to his jokes which sounded quite offensive.

“Gusto ko mang mag-guest pero hindi ko kaya ang ginawang pambabastos sa akin noon ng main host ng show. Lahat ng imbestigasyon sa akin ng ABS-CBN para mag-guest, wala ako nagging problema. Dito lang talaga sa “It’s Showtime” dahil sa main host ng show. Para lang mapatawa niya ang tao, kahit mambastos na siya ng kapwa niya, ginagawa niya,” Nora told on her text message.

Moreover, Aunor didn’t go into the details of what was the particular joke or punch line that Vice threw pertaining to her. She just protested against the gay host way of doing comedy. Later, the “It’s Showtime” management confirmed that the multi-awarded actress has cancelled her commitment to the show.

On the other hand, it is expected that Nora Aunor will appear on the “It’s Showtime” rival show “Eat Bulaga”.
It can be remembered that Nora Aunor bagged the title as the first grand winner of the “Tawag Ng Tanghalan” way back 1968. Here is her winning piece: Click here watch
