Boiling Bananas Before Sleep Can Reduce Insomnia

Have you ever experienced tossing and turning in your bed, staring at the ceiling for hefty hours of being sleepless, praying that you could finally get your goodnight’s sleep after a long tiring day? Counting all the sheep jumping across the fence and you just can’t fall asleep?  Stressed over being unable to sleep after a couple of hours of shut eye? Even insomnia gets worse and it really gets into your nerves already?

Worry not! For we have discovered something that could help you get through tough sleeping times in no time! There is an organic way to get you into sleep instead of taking various sleeping pills which can affect your health later in life.

All you have to do is boil bananas before sleeping. Here’s how to do it:
1.    Cut both ends of the banana and place it on a small pot of boiling water.
2.    Boil for around 10 minutes.
3.    Place the banana tea into a mug.
4.    For an added flavor, you can add a sprinkle of cinnamon powder into your drink.
5.    Drink the mixture an hour before bedtime.
6.    Eat the boiled banana that has been left on the pot and if you feel like seasoning it with some cinnamon, you can do so. It makes a good desert as well, and it makes the drink more effective.

How can a banana do it? Bananas are loaded with potassium and magnesium (especially on the peels). Magnesium can help reduce sleep disturbances, while together with potassium, both can relax muscles.

Take note that make sure your banana is organic, otherwise, you’ll intake a load of chemicals and pesticides inorganic bananas get on plantations.

Why you should avoid taking sleeping pills? Sleeping pills contain sedative drugs and barbiturates that can be addictive. There’s a list of side effects that accompany sleeping pills, some are: constipation, dizziness, difficulty to focus and remember, stomach pain, weakness and uncontrollable shaking.

So best not to take sleeping pills even out of desperation to fall asleep. Instead, do the banana method and see for yourself what happens!

Not only does it aid your sleep, it’s organic and healthy too. Try it!
