VIRAL : Filipino Nurse Inherited $15M from Billionaire Patient

Most of the time, we expect nothing in exchange of giving genuine affection and care to our fellowmen but a Filipino nurse in the US was rewarded by millions of dollar after her patient passed away.

Meet Hadassah Peri, a Filipino nurse who received millions of dollars of cash and gifts from her billionaire patient who happened to be one of the world’s richest women. The Filipino nurse took care of billionaire Huguette Clark, the youngest daughter senator William Clark and heiress of Clark copper fortune, who was diagnosed with face cancer.

According to Peri, she faithfully took care of the billionaire heiress for 12 hours a day, 7 days a week and seldomly take a day leave which she’s paid $30 per hour that made her describe her service as extreme self-service. For her salary, she earns $30 per hour.

In 20 years, Peri didn’t only receive amount equivalent to her service but expensive gifts  such as multiple Manhattan apartments, a Stadivarius violin worth $1.2M, a Cezanne painting and a Bentley luxury car.
Sometimes apart from her salary, Peri receives cheques from her patient to cover her expenses since Clark knew that she has a family that depended on her.

2 weeks before her 105th birthday, on May 2011, Clark died and left Peri with $15 million as stated on her will. Unfortunately, Clark’s family protested and filed a legal battle against Peri which urged the Pinay nurse to give up the inheritance and pay back all the gifts given to her.
